With over 65 years in the industry, Kieffer & Co., based in Sheboygan, has undergone a new ownership change. Found in 1959, the company had grown to a leading national provider and later evolved under the brand name Kieffer | Starlite, which included manufacturing locations in Mt. Airy, NC, and Denton, TX.
The company faced several challenges due to the COVID pandemic, including internal restructuring and consolidation of the manufacturing facilities. Ultimately, all efforts resulted in the company going into receivership in early 2022.
PSCO Global Group, the parent company of Philadelphia Sign, a long-time leader in the sign industry since 1905, acquired the Sheboygan manufacturing facility of over 115,000 sq. ft. located at 3322 Washington Ave, Sheboygan, WI 53081. Part of the acquisition will include a company restructuring to realign the business and focus on the strengths of the Sheboygan operations to align with the PSCO brand.

The PSCO brand includes the parent company known as PSCO Global Group along with sister companies Philadelphia Sign and ID Associates, Inc, with over 472,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing facilities across five locations in New Jersey, Massachusetts, Florida, and Alabama. Kieffer & Co, currently branded as Kieffer | Starlite, will go through another rebranding and operate as another sister company, known as PSCO Kieffer, to continue to build upon the long foundation of value engineering quality products and excellent customer service that PSCO embodies.
